Privacy Policy

This policy is a starting template. Replace with policy reviewed by your attorney and aligned with your actual data handling practices and applicable laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
1. Data we collect
We collect the email address, name, and role you provide during signup, the financial profile and preferences you enter during onboarding, the deals you create and the documents you upload, and basic usage telemetry (logins, deal counts, feature usage) needed to operate the Service.
2. How we use your data
Your profile and deal data are used solely to provide personalized assessments. Documents you upload are processed by AI providers (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) only to extract structured fields for your review. We do not use your data to train any AI models.
3. Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We retain only non-sensitive references (Stripe customer ID, subscription status, last 4 digits) needed to manage your subscription.
4. Third-party processors
We use the following processors: Stripe (payments), Anthropic and/or OpenAI (document extraction and recommendation narrative), PostHog (product analytics and pre-signup session replay), and Meta/Facebook (advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel). Each processes only the minimum data required.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to allow re-activation. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting your admin.
6. Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS) and password hashing. No system is perfectly secure; you remain responsible for keeping your password confidential.
7. Broker visibility
If you are an investor and a broker has linked their account to yours, the broker can read (not edit) your investor profile and see deals they've scored for you. You can revoke linked access at any time by contacting your admin.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact your admin to exercise these rights.
9. Cookies, analytics & session replay
We use essential cookies for session authentication. We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and product analytics, which set cookies and similar identifiers to measure advertising performance and feature usage; these may share limited usage and device information with Meta and our analytics provider.
On our public pages (for example the landing, demo, sweepstakes, and sign-up/sign-in pages), and only before you sign in, our analytics provider may also record anonymized session replays of on-screen interactions (such as mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling) to help us understand and improve the signup experience. These pre-signup replays are not tied to your identity, and input fields are masked so what you type is not captured. We do not record session replays once you are signed in or anywhere inside the app.
You can opt out at any time. Before creating an account, enable your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting, which we honor to disable analytics and session replay. After you have an account, use the “Opt out of analytics” control in your account settings, which disables analytics, session replay, and the marketing pixel in that browser.
